Stacey L. Connaughton is a Professor in the Brian Lamb School of Communication at Purdue University and Director of the Purdue Policy Research Institute (PPRI) in Purdue’s Discovery Park. She also serves as Director of the Purdue Peace Project (PPP), leading multi-stakeholder initiatives in Ghana, Liberia, and Nigeria to prevent political violence. Her work integrates leadership, organizational communication, and community engagement to foster peacebuilding and development.

Grants and Collaborations: She has secured over $3 million in funding from organizations such as the National Science Foundation, USAID, Carnegie Corporation, and Ford Motor Company. Her projects include designing educational materials for INDOT, reconfigurable interiors for autonomous vehicles with Ford, and resilience development through communication campaigns in Liberia.
Labs and Teams: Dr. Connaughton leads the Purdue Peace Project, collaborating with media organizations, governments, NGOs, and civil society actors globally. She co-founded the Local Leadership Model and Relationally Attentive Approach for peacebuilding and engaged scholarship.
