University of Aberdeenمعرفی
Srinivas Sriramula is a Senior Lecturer (Reader-equivalent) and Dean for International Student Recruitment at the School of Engineering, University of Aberdeen. He joined the university in 2009 as a Lecturer, was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2017, and previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Surrey (2006–2009) on the CREDO project.
His research spans system safety and reliability modeling, sustainable infrastructure for energy transition, risk-based inspection of offshore structures, stochastic multi-scale mechanics of composites, and machine learning for spatial variability. Key themes include corrosion analysis, pipeline integrity, and reliability of floating wind turbines.
- Stochastic finite element-based reliability
- Corrosion degradation in marine environments
- Multi-scale composite material analysis
- Machine learning for pipeline risk assessment
- Dynamic reliability of offshore assets
His 2023–2025 publications focus on hydrogen exposure effects, corrosion clusters, pipeline collapse pressure, and wind turbine cable reliability. Awards include Fellow of the Safety and Reliability Society, 2021 Principal’s Excellence Award, and 2015 University of Aberdeen Teaching Award. He has supervised 13 PhD graduates, including Michael Olatunde and Abraham Mensah (2024), and serves as reviewer for major journals.
