Dr. Srinivas (Srini) Sampalli is a Professor in the Faculty of Computer Science at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He is a 3M National Teaching Fellow and holds leadership roles in international teaching organizations, including serving as Vice President (Canada) for the International Federation of National Teaching Fellows (IFNTF).
His research focuses on cyber security, risk mitigation, intrusion detection and prevention, and the application of emerging wireless technologies such as NFC, RFID, sensor networks, and mobile computing. A key application area of his work is in healthcare technology, where wireless systems enhance patient monitoring and data security.
Dr. Sampalli has led industry-driven R&D projects funded by NSERC, Industry Canada, and NRC, collaborating with partners like Boeing, HealthQR Inc., ExactDeposit, and Timeless Medical Systems. He is the founder of the MYTech Lab (Emerging Wireless Technologies Lab) and co-founder of the startup Wi4Tech Inc.
His teaching excellence has been widely recognized through multiple awards, including:

Dr. Sampalli advises graduate students and leads an active research cluster in Systems. He also serves on the Board of Advisors for EyeRead and as a Technical Advisor for ExactDeposit Inc.
The lab he leads, MYTech Lab, is a hub for innovation in wireless systems and cybersecurity, fostering academic-industry collaboration and commercialization of research.
