Sreekanta Das

Dr. Sreekanta Das is a Professor and Associate Dean - Research and Graduate Studies in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Windsor. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Alberta (Canada), M.E. from the University of Wollongong (Australia), and B.E. from the University of Calcutta (India). His research focuses on sustainable construction materials, modular steel construction, 3D-printed construction, and structural behavior analysis of masonry and pipelines. He leads the Heavy Structural Testing Expert Group (HSTEG) and has professional affiliations with CSA S304 and ISO/TC 261/JG80 committees.

Advising & Grants: Seeking a doctoral student with strong structural/materials engineering backgrounds and proficiency in LabVIEW programming for structural data collection. He has advised students through his lab and secured grants for infrastructure testing projects.

Labs/Teams: Leads the Heavy Structural Testing Expert Group (HSTEG), focusing on large-scale structural testing and innovative construction technologies.
