Sophie Sampford

Sophie Sampford is a Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy at York St John University, affiliated with the School of Science, Technology and Health. Her career includes 11 years as a NHS paediatric SLT, specializing in stammering, voice disorders, and speech sound disorders in children. She developed the 'Singing Speech' intervention for preschoolers with speech disorders, later validated via her PhD. Her research focuses on phonological awareness's role in speech production and family-centered interventions.
