Sophie Landry

Sophie Landry serves as an Associate Fellow at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, while concurrently holding the position of Head of Treasury Portfolio Management at the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Union's lending institution and a leading global provider of climate finance.

Her academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree from Sciences Po Lyon, a Master in Management and Finance from the University of Strasbourg (awarded with Honours and Scholarship), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification earned in 2004, and an Executive MBA from Oxford University in 2019 (graduated with distinction).

Landry's research focuses on Trading and asset management, Sustainable investing frameworks including the European Green Deal, Financial crises analysis, and the development of the European Capital Markets Union. Her work bridges theoretical finance with practical market applications, emphasizing sustainable investment strategies and systemic risk management in European financial systems.

At Saïd Business School, she teaches the Financial Markets Trading elective for MBA and MSc Financial Economics students since 2020, integrating academic concepts with immersive market case studies. She also serves as a speaker in the Oxford Bank Governance Programme, contributing expertise in financial and risk management since its inception.

With over two decades of experience across London, Paris, Berlin, and Frankfurt, her prior role as Managing Director at NatWest involved developing liquidity and capital solutions for financial institutions and arranging Debt Capital Market transactions, demonstrating extensive leadership in international finance.
