Sophie Gallagher is a Lecturer in Diagnostic Radiography at the School of Healthcare, University of Leicester. She is a HCPC-registered diagnostic radiographer specializing in cross-sectional imaging. With a career spanning public and private hospital settings since 2007, she completed a Postgraduate Certificate in MRI in 2014 and transitioned to higher education in 2016.
Her research focuses on MRI radiographer education, particularly exploring the experiences of radiographers learning MRI practice through a constructivist grounded theory approach. She is currently undertaking a Professional Doctorate in Health and Social Care to advance this work.
