Sophie Duncan-Shepherd is a Teaching Professor at the Business School of the University of Edinburgh, specializing in the Marketing department. She holds a PhD in Marketing from the University of Strathclyde, awarded in July 2023, and an MSc in International Marketing from the same institution (2018).
Research Interests: Sophie's work focuses on interpretive consumer research, particularly examining vulnerability, stigma, and gender identity through feminist methodologies. Her PhD investigates how transgender and nonbinary consumers navigate symbolic violence and societal gendered norms.
