Dr. Sophie Bocksberger is Lecturer in Ancient Greek Language and Literature at Brasenose College, University of Oxford. She teaches across Greek literature papers and supervises graduate work on early Greek poetry and tragedy. Her research integrates literary analysis with archaeological and religious contexts of archaic/classical Greece.
Research examines mythological evolution (particularly Telamonian Ajax), ancient dance practices, and Greek performance culture. Publications include a monograph on Ajax and articles analyzing dance-poetry relationships. Education:
