معرفی
Sophie Blanchard is a Senior Lecturer in Human Geography at Université Paris-Est Créteil Val de Marne (UPEC), where she has held academic positions since 2005. She coordinates the Geography section of the Master's program in Secondary Education and teaches courses in Human Geography, Social Geography, and Survey Techniques. Her academic journey includes studies at Paris I University (1996-2005), alumni status at École Normale Supérieure de Fontenay/Saint-Cloud, and qualification to teach Geography in 2000.
Her research explores three primary themes: student mobility and educational inequalities in France; gender and urban practices in Île-de-France; and gender dimensions of international migration (particularly Spain/Bolivia). She employs interdisciplinary approaches intersecting Human Geography, Migration Studies, and Gender Studies to analyze spatial inequalities and social transformations.
Blanchard has contributed to significant collaborative research projects including studies on student mobility for the Student Life Observatory (2015-2017), the 'Gender Bets' project funded by Paris (2015-2017), PUCA-funded research on peripheral neighborhoods (2014-2016), and the HABEST project on Eastern Paris (2011-2013). Her publications since 2014 demonstrate consistent focus on migration, urban change, and gendered labor patterns.
