Arianna Sforzini

Arianna Sforzini is a Lecturer in Philosophy at Université Paris-Est Créteil Val de Marne (UPEC), affiliated with the Faculty of Arts, Letters, Languages and Human Sciences. Her research explores the intersections of philosophy with theater, psychoanalysis, and gender studies, with emphasis on Michel Foucault's work, the history of the body, and Reformation-era subjectivity. She edits Foucault's archival materials and publishes on performative aspects of philosophy.

Research Focus: Sforzini investigates philosophical archives, bodily practices in historical context, and the political-aesthetic dimensions of performance. Her work critically engages with French phenomenology and psychoanalysis, particularly through Foucault's frameworks.

Publications: Recent outputs (2018-2023) cluster around Foucault’s legacy, analyzing subjectivity, sexuality, and archival methodologies. Trends include historical epistemology (Reformation studies) and critiques of anthropological traditions.
