Dr. Sonia Suchday is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University. She holds a PhD from West Virginia University (1995), an MA from Connecticut College (1991), and a BA from St. Xavier's College (1989). Her research focuses on the social and behavioral aspects of metabolic syndrome-related diseases (cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes), cardiovascular reactivity to stress, and the effects of yoga, meditation, social support, and acculturation on health. She also explores global health and ethnic disparities in health outcomes.
