Richard A. Zweig, Ph.D., is a Professor of Psychology at Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, where he directs the Ferkauf Older Adult Program (FOAP). He is also an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University.
- Education: Ph.D. in Psychology from Northwestern University (1989), B.S. in Psychology from Cornell University (1982)
Dr. Zweig’s research explores the interplay between personality pathology, depression, emotion regulation, and social functioning in older adults. His work emphasizes risk/protective factors for psychopathology and functional decline, alongside advancements in geropsychology training. Recent publications focus on integrative clinical assessment and interventions for aging populations.
