Sondra Faccio

Sondra Faccio is an Associate Professor at the School of International Studies (SSI) and Faculty of Law at the University of Trento. Her research focuses on International Law, Investment Law, and Sustainable Development. She holds a Ph.D. in Law and Economics from the University of Verona and has held visiting positions at institutions such as Columbia University, the University of East Anglia, and the University of Cincinnati.

Her work explores topics including foreign investment contracts, international arbitration, EU law, and the intersection of law with sustainability and energy governance. She is a Principal Investigator for the 2023 PRIN grant on 'Arms, Peace and Sustainability' and has received multiple fellowships, including the Ernst Mach Grant (2013) and UC International Visiting Scholar Grant (2023).

Recent scholarly activities include presentations on greenwashing, reciprocity in international treaties, and the role of investment contracts in post-pandemic frameworks. She actively participates in conferences and publishes on issues such as regulatory discretion in investment law and the legal dimensions of special economic zones.
