Sohyun Meacham is a Professor and Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) College of Education. She coordinates the EdD Program and teaches courses such as Children's Literature, Early Literacy Methods, and Qualitative Research Methods. Her work bridges literacy, multicultural education, and play-based learning.
Research Focus: Meacham centers on language development in classrooms, representation in children’s literature, and teacher education practices.
