Sofie Lebech is a Senior Lecturer at the Malmö Theatre Academy, Lund University. She holds an artistic PhD from the University of Copenhagen and has taught at institutions such as Den Danske Scenekunstskole and the University of Copenhagen.
Her research focuses on research-based aesthetics in times of conflict and crisis, exploring reenactment, documentary strategies, and the intersection of fiction and reality. She combines artistic practice with academic inquiry to create spaces for critical reflection and interdisciplinary exploration.
Her artistic works include performances like Precarious Life (2014 award-winning) and This is for her, which examine social and individual conflicts through performative methodologies.
