Sofia Lodén is a Professor of French at Stockholm University's Department of Romance Studies and Classics, and Chair of the Young Academy of Sweden (2024–2025). Her work bridges medieval French and Scandinavian literature with modern academic frameworks through roles like Honorary Fellow at the University of Bristol and Visiting Scholar at St Peter's College Oxford (2022–23).

Research Pillars: Specializing in medieval European literary exchange, her work examines how French romances shaped Swedish national identity through translations like Herr Ivan, and explores spatial representations in medieval texts.
