Sofia J. Araujo

Sofia J. Araujo is an Associate Professor at the University of Barcelona, affiliated with the Faculty of Biology and the Department of Genetics, Microbiology and Statistics. She leads the REGnetREG research group and serves on the doctoral program committee for Genetics.

Her research focuses on single-cell branching morphogenesis, cell migration mechanisms, and Drosophila models of neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative diseases. Key projects include studying centrosome dynamics in branching, ECM interactions in tracheal development, and axonal guidance mechanisms across species.
