Dr. Sofia Gruskin is a Distinguished Professor at the University of Southern California with joint appointments in the Keck School of Medicine and Gould School of Law. She serves as Division Chief for Disease Prevention, Policy and Global Health and directs the Institute on Inequalities in Global Health. Her work focuses on the intersection of health, human rights, and law.
Research interests span global health policy, health equity, sexual/reproductive rights, HIV/AIDS, and the social determinants of health. Her interdisciplinary approach examines how legal frameworks impact health outcomes for vulnerable populations.
Recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on gender justice, health policy reform, and rights-based approaches to public health challenges including HIV prevention, sexual health access, and pandemic response.
