Snorre Bergan is a Research Fellow at the Department of Mathematics, University of Oslo, affiliated with the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. His research focuses on operator algebras applied to many-body physics and quantum field theory, particularly exploring algebras of cluster operators in fermionic systems and exotic particles like bosons and anyons. He is part of the QOMBINE research project, supervised by Professors Nadia S. Larsen and Sergiy Neshveyev.
Education: Master of Science (MSc) in Physics (Condensed Matter Theory, Mathematical Physics) from NTNU (2016–2021), followed by a Post Graduate Certification in Education from USN (2021–2022).
Teaching includes courses such as Elementary Real Analysis (MAT2100), Topology (MAT4500), and Calculus and Linear Algebra (MAT1110). Research interests span C*-algebras, many-body theory, and quantum technologies, with publications addressing theoretical frameworks in quantum physics and operator algebras. He contributes to the Operator Algebras research group and actively participates in the QOMBINE initiative.
