Professor Slaven Bertoša is a full faculty member at the Faculty of Philosophy, Juraj Dobrila University in Pula, affiliated with the Department of Early Modern History. His research focuses on
- Medieval and modern history of Istria and Kvarner
- Historical demography and civil registers
- Microhistory and oral history
- Cultural heritage of castles and abandoned settlements
Key projects include:
- The Krk Galley in the Battle of Lepanto (2017-2021)
- Istria and Kvarner in the Modern Age: Microhistorical Topics (2020-2028)
