Siri Suh is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Brandeis University, specializing in global maternal/reproductive health and feminist studies of medicine. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociomedical Sciences from Columbia University (2014) and MPH (2004) and B.A. from UC Berkeley (2000).
Her research examines reproductive governance through projects on post-abortion care in Senegal and misoprostol access in West Africa. Current work investigates how abortion policies and pharmaceutical technologies shape reproductive autonomy.
Awards include Hewlett Foundation funding for 'Into Women's Hands' project in Burkina Faso/Senegal. Publications address reproductive justice, health metrics, and pharmaceutical access constraints.
Teaching includes courses on sociology of reproduction, health/illness, and research methods. She serves as undergraduate advising head and study abroad liaison.
