Siri Jagstedt is a Senior Lecturer and program director for the Industrial Engineering and Management programme at Karlstad University. She holds a PhD in Technology Management and Economics from Chalmers University of Technology (2020). Her research focuses on the intersection of technology and service provision, emphasizing product-service architectures, modularization, and platform strategies. She teaches courses in Operations Management, Service Management, Servitization, and Research Methods.
Her research explores interdisciplinary themes such as AI's impact on service ecosystems, modular service systems in tourism, and organizational challenges in digital transformation. Recent publications address quality assurance in AI-driven systems, food waste solutions in Nordic countries, and dependencies hindering innovation in cyber-physical systems. Her work often employs empirical methods and case studies, such as infrastructure development and automotive industry collaboration.
Publications span AI applications, sustainable solutions, and platform strategies, reflecting her expertise in bridging technical and managerial domains. She has contributed to over 15 peer-reviewed articles since 2015, with a focus on innovation dynamics and organizational adaptation to technological change.
As an educator, she shapes curricula in service-dominant logic and agile management practices. Her teaching integrates theoretical frameworks with practical industry challenges, fostering student engagement in real-world problem-solving.
