Professor Siobhan Wills is Director of the Transitional Justice Institute at Ulster University's School of Law. She holds a permanent professorship with academic appointments including Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Authority and membership in the Royal Irish Academy committees. Her education includes an LLB from National University of Ireland (2000), LLM from Yale Law School (2001), and DPhil from Oxford University (2007).
Her research examines peacekeeping operations, protection of civilians, and human rights frameworks in conflict zones. She employs innovative methodologies including documentary filmmaking to explore state violence and international law compliance, with geographic focus on Haiti and Brazil. Recent publications reflect interdisciplinary approaches combining legal analysis with visual anthropology.
