معرفی
Dr Sing Ming Chan is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Principles of Biomolecular Systems group at Imperial College London, under the leadership of Dr Thomas Ouldridge. He joined the group in May 2024. His research focuses on molecular machines and synthetic chemistry, combining rotaxane synthesis for sensing/catalysis and DNA-based systems for artificial molecular locomotion.
Education: Ph.D. in Chemistry from Hong Kong Baptist University (2017-2020) under Dr. Ken Leung, followed by a Marie Curie Fellowship at the University of Oxford (2020-2024) under Prof. Andrew Turberfield, studying DNA origami and molecular rotary motors.
Awards: Recipient of the Marie Curie Early-Stage Researcher Fellowship (2020-2024).
Research Interests: Development of synthetic molecular systems, biomimetic machines, and chemical tools for nanotechnology applications. Current work integrates DNA nanostructures with dynamic molecular components to explore programmable molecular behaviors.
