Simone Rehm serves as Vice Rector for Information Technology (CIO) at the University of Stuttgart, a full-time member of the Rectorate since 2016. In this strategic leadership role, she oversees the university's entire IT infrastructure and digital transformation initiatives across research, teaching, and administrative domains.
Her professional focus centers on driving technical innovation and establishing robust IT frameworks to support interdisciplinary research and modern educational environments. She emphasizes that optimal IT support and cutting-edge information tools are critical for empowering students, faculty, and researchers in a research-intensive university setting.
The Vice Rectorate for Information Technology team she leads includes Dr. Heiko Schulz (Consultant for Information Technology and Personal Assistant to the CIO), Ulrike Reubelt (Assistant), and digitalization officers Oliver Roll and Lisa Schöllhammer, who collectively implement the university's digitization strategy.
