Simona Maria Segre Reinach is an Associate Professor at the Department of the Arts, University of Bologna. Her research focuses on Global Fashion, Fashion Theory, China Studies, Fashion Curation, and the role of Animals in Fashion. She holds the academic discipline GSPS-08/A in Sociology of Economic and Labour Processes.
Editorial Roles: She serves on the editorial boards of Zonemoda, Fashion Theory, Critical Studies in Fashion and Beauty, and others. She also edits Zonemoda Journal.
Publications: Authored books include Mode in Italy, La moda. Un’introduzione, Orientalismi, and Per un vestire gentile. Moda e liberazione animale. She has curated exhibitions such as Jungle. The Imagery of Animals in Fashion and Brasile_Italia l’arte dell’incontro.
Teaching & Advising: Oversees theses requiring a project summary, index, and provisional bibliography. Office hours are every Monday at 2:00 PM on Teams, by email预约. She teaches design and technology for Fashion Communication.
