Simon Surowicz

Simon Surowicz is an Associate Professor of Journalism at Purchase College, SUNY, and holds adjunct roles at Columbia University and CUNY’s Graduate School of Journalism. With over 25 years in broadcast news, he has produced impactful investigations for NBC, CBS’s 60 Minutes, and ABC News’ Investigative Unit. His work includes exposing kleptocracy in Zaire, organ trafficking in China, and unethical medical experiments by Bayer. He designed ABC’s pioneering investigative site 'The Blotter' and advises the Columbia Documentary Project and Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism. His student-led documentaries won major awards, including the DuPont/Judy F. Crichton Award.
