Dr Simon Shaw is a Lecturer in Criminal Justice and Criminology at the University of Kent’s Medway campus. He serves as Director of Studies for the BA Criminal Justice and Criminology program. His research focuses on criminal justice policy, youth crime, and healthcare referral practices, particularly in the context of breast-related medical decision-making.
He has published in areas such as historical reflections on youth crime legislation and healthcare service evaluations. His work includes collaborative studies with NHS organizations, analyzing general practitioners' referral behaviors for women with breast problems.
