معرفی
Dr. Simon Richardson is a Senior Clinical Research Associate at the University of Cambridge and an Honorary Consultant Haematologist at Addenbrooke's Hospital. His research focuses on the stem cell biology and epigenetic dysregulation underlying aggressive B cell malignancies, particularly childhood B-ALL, with an emphasis on drug resistance and novel therapy development.
- Studied Preclinical Medicine and Pharmacology at Cambridge (2002 double first)
- Completed clinical training at Oxford (2005 George Pickering Prize)
- PhD at UCL Cancer Institute (2009-2013) studying embryonic B-cell progenitors in B-ALL
- CRUK Clinician Scientist Fellowship at Cambridge Stem Cell Institute (2019-present)
Research interests span epigenetic regulators in leukemia pathogenesis, CRISPR screening for therapeutic vulnerabilities, and preclinical drug testing for resistant cases. His work combines in vivo modeling, genome engineering, and clinical-translational approaches.
Key publications reveal expertise in B-ALL, AML, and T-ALL mechanisms, with significant contributions to understanding CREBBP mutations, CHK1 inhibition, and LGR5 targeting in cancer therapy. As a Clinician Scientist, he bridges clinical practice with laboratory research while serving on editorial boards like the British Journal of Cancer.
