Simon Potts

Simon Potts is a lecturer at the College of Medicine and Public Health, Flinders University, and Senior Pharmacist for the Intensive and Critical Care Unit at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide. His work focuses on pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and medication safety in critical care settings.

His research explores optimizing antibiotic dosing strategies for critically ill patients, particularly through pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic modeling. He received the 2017 Best Allied Health Oral Paper award at ANZICS/ACCCN ASM for his work on vancomycin infusion methods.

Simon contributes to education through ICCU Registrar sessions, pharmacy intern supervision, and teaching collaborations with the University of Hong Kong and University of South Australia. His clinical pharmacy expertise spans topics like antimicrobial resistance and intensive care respiratory/gastroenterology pharmacotherapy.
