Dr. Simon Lisaingo is an Assistant Professor of Teaching at the University of British Columbia (UBC), affiliated with the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, and Special Education within the School and Applied Child Psychology (SACP). As a UBC alumnus and current SACP Program Coordinator, he focuses on home-school consultative interventions, self-regulated learning, and school mental health advocacy. His work emphasizes collaboration with rural and Indigenous communities and the integration of trauma-informed practices in student support systems.

His research interests span family-school collaboration, emotion regulation, psychological assessment, and expanding school psychology roles through telepsychology.
