Charlene Belu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of New Brunswick. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from UNB and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Dalhousie University. Her research focuses on close relationships, sexual wellbeing, and couples coping with challenges such as sexual difficulty and infidelity.

Her recent research explores infidelity dynamics, sexual dysfunction in couples, and emotion regulation during conflict. She investigates interpersonal emotion regulation, sexual performance anxiety, and bystander intervention during sexual assault incidents.
