Simon Kelly is a Senior Lecturer in Management at the University of Huddersfield's Huddersfield Business School (Department of Management), affiliated with the Centre for Sustainability, Responsibility, Governance and Ethics. He joined in 2018 after prior roles at Bradford University School of Management (2012-2017), Essex Business School (2009-2012), and Lancaster University School of Management (2006-2012). His research focuses on leadership theory, organizational analysis, and qualitative methods, with a particular interest in poststructuralist perspectives, neurodiversity in workplaces, and gender ethics in management.
Notable research interests include leadership development processes, moral philosophy applications in organizations, and the intersection of parenting and professional ethics. He has contributed to UN Sustainable Development Goals through studies on equality and organizational responsibility.
Recent activities include keynote talks on neurodiversity staff groups (2024), peer-reviewed journal contributions (e.g., Gender, Work and Organization), and editorial work for journals like Qualitative Research in Organizations and Management.
