Simon Joosten is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Monash University and a consultant Respiratory and Sleep Medicine physician at Monash Health. He completed an NHMRC Health Practitioner Fellowship and earned his PhD (2015) investigating OSA pathophysiology. His research focuses on air quality, therapeutic interventions for sleep-disordered breathing, and airborne virus mitigation strategies. He has secured over $32M in research funding as a Chief Investigator, including $1.5M since 2015.
