Simon James is a Senior Visiting Research Fellow in the Department of Political Economy at King's College London and part-time lecturer. He authored the standard textbook 'Prime Minister and Cabinet Government' (3rd ed., 2020) and researches public administration, policy processes, and constitutional reform.
Research expertise includes:
- Central government policy-making
- Prime ministerial office reforms
- Political and civil service modernization
He currently advises the Government Secretariat of Macedonia on central government reform, drawing on extensive experience as a public servant and international consultant.
