Simon Davidsson is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Political Science, Lund University. His research focuses on the historical development of parliamentarism in Western and Central Europe, combining Bayesian methods with qualitative and quantitative approaches. He holds a PhD from Lund University (2022) and has been affiliated with the university since at least 2017.
Research Interests: Political history, political economy, welfare state dynamics, labor market changes, voter preferences, and methodological innovation. His work integrates historical analysis with modern quantitative techniques, emphasizing long-term institutional evolution.
Publications (2018–2025): Focus on parliamentary systems, interwar politics, European party strength, China-Africa relations, and Swedish political landscapes. Recent high-impact articles include work in British Journal of Political Science and Political Studies.
