Professor Jocelyn Evans is a Chair in Politics at the School of Politics and International Studies, University of Leeds. Her expertise focuses on voting behavior in France and other European countries, with notable publications on French presidential elections and electoral behavior. She has held visiting positions at the ZA-Eurolab (Cologne, Germany) and CIDSP (Grenoble, France).

Her research emphasizes quantitative models of voting behavior, particularly in France. She co-authored books on the 2012 and 2017 French presidential elections and authored Voters and Voting: an Introduction (2004). She co-edited Electoral Behaviour (2008) and the Sage Handbook of Electoral Behaviour (2017). She served as editor of Parliamentary Affairs (2005–2011) and contributed to ESRC Northern Ireland General Election Studies as a co-investigator.
Teaching focuses on quantitative methods for postgraduate students. Current research projects include the Subnational Context and Radical Right support in Europe (SCoRE).
