Simiao Sun is an Associate Professor in Hydrogeology (Groundwater Science) at the University of Birmingham's School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences. His research focuses on the mechanisms of LNAPLs (Light Non-Aqueous Phase Liquids) migration and (re)distribution. He teaches modules on MSc Hydrogeology, including Groundwater Hydraulics, Regional Groundwater Flow Modelling, and Contaminant Transport Modelling. Additionally, he serves as International Tutor, aiming to enhance educational experiences for international students and fostering partnerships with China.
