Simen Hammersvik is a Research Fellow and PhD candidate at the Department of Private Law, University of Oslo. He is affiliated with the Faculty of Law and part of the EURNOR research project funded by the Research Council of Norway. His research focuses on the impact of EEA Law on contractual issues involving public authorities.

Research Interests: Simen’s work centers on EU/EEA Law, Contract Law, Administrative Law, and Legal History. He examines how EEA Law influences contractual obligations, review processes, and enforcement mechanisms when public authorities are contract parties. His PhD project analyzes this intersection systematically.
Publications: His work includes a 2014 article on public procurement irregularities and their legal implications. His research highlights evolving legal frameworks in public-private contractual dynamics.
Funding & Projects: His PhD is part of the EURNOR initiative, exploring the European dimension of Norwegian Law. The project will conclude in 2028.
