Silvia Sobral is a Senior Lecturer in Hispanic Studies at Brown University. She holds a Licenciatura in English Language and Literature from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1993) and an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1995). Her expertise spans Second Language Acquisition, Foreign Language Pedagogy, and Heritage Language Teaching, with a focus on Spanish in the U.S. context. She has co-authored textbooks like Dicho y Hecho: Beginning Spanish and contributed to teaching materials.
