Silvia I. Ponce is an Associate Professor in the Department of Logistics and Operations Management at HEC Montréal. She holds an M.Sc.A. in Chemical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal and a Ph.D. in Administration from HEC Montréal. Her expertise spans Production and Operation Management, Supplying of Knowledge-based Services, Total Quality Management, Technology and Innovation Process Management, and Operations Strategy.
Her recent research includes a 2022 publication analyzing data-driven operations and supply chain management clusters. She has supervised three graduate projects focusing on manufacturing planning tools, food production line optimization, and sustainable practices in opera activities. Dr. Ponce teaches courses such as 'Gestion des opérations' (OPER 10500) and 'Stratégie des opérations' (OPER 20520), covering operational strategy and service management.
