Prof. Silke Weidner is Chair of Urban Management at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. Her research focuses on urban resilience, heritage policy, and socio-political dimensions of urban transformation. She actively participates in international academic forums, such as the ACHS conference, where she addressed strategies for reintegrating historic city centers (e.g., Tabriz Bazaar, Iran) into modern cities. She contributed to the Canal: Walking the Post-Industrial Lachine Canal project (2013), exploring post-industrial urban redevelopment.
