Solmaz Yadollahi

Solmaz Yadollahi is a Researcher and PhD candidate in IGS Heritage Studies at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, Germany. She coordinates the IGS Heritage Studies PhD program and serves as a teaching assistant in the Urban Management Chair at the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning. Her research focuses on living urban heritage management, emphasizing public space, social sustainability, and gender issues in historic urban areas. She previously collaborated with the Iranian Cultural Heritage Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO) from 2008–2012, contributing to four successful World Heritage nominations. Her work includes urban revitalization projects in Iran since 2005.

Publications: Her research explores commercial modernization’s impact on public life in Iranian bazaars (e.g., Tabriz), methodological frameworks for social sustainability, and heritage-driven urban development. Recent work appears in Springer, De Gruyter, and international conference proceedings.
