Silke Migala is a health researcher and doctoral candidate at Freie Universität Berlin, Department of Education and Psychology, Division of Qualitative Social and Education Research. She currently serves as a research assistant in the project "Intercultural Concepts of End-of-Life care—ambitions and reality from an organizational ethics perspective." Her work focuses on cultural diversity in aging societies, palliative care access, and qualitative research applications.
- Education: M.Sc. in Management and Quality Development in Health Care System (2010), B.Sc. in Health and Nursing Management (2008), and prior studies in law (1995–2005).
Research Interests center on intercultural competence, end-of-life care ethics, and organizational barriers for migrant populations. Her recent publications analyze data triangulation, language challenges, and ethical frameworks in palliative services for Russian-speaking migrants in Germany.
Scientific Awards include the Alice-Salomon Award for an innovative master’s thesis (2010). She has taught courses on qualitative social research methods and intercultural care at both Free University of Berlin and Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences.
