Sarah Rasche is a Researcher at the Free University of Berlin, affiliated with the Division of Qualitative Social and Education Research within the Department of Education and Psychology. Her work focuses on migration, unemployment, and social inequality, with a strong emphasis on qualitative methodologies.
- Education: M.A. in Sociology from Free University of Berlin (2009–2010), B.A. in Social Sciences/European Studies from University of Chemnitz (2006–2010).
Research Interests include:
- Migration and transnationalization processes
- Employment and unemployment dynamics in migrant populations
- Education's role in reproducing social inequalities
- Sociology of elites and Europeanization
Publications span qualitative analyses of reemployment challenges for older immigrants (2018), critical inquiries into migration and unemployment (2017), and parental motivations for bilingual education (2014). Her projects, such as MILEA and transnational human capital studies, reflect interdisciplinary approaches to migration and social inequality.
Teaching includes seminars on qualitative research methods in education and social sciences since 2013. She has contributed to research teams exploring chronic illness in young adults, refugee integration, and organizational ethics in end-of-life care.
