Anna Ute Dunkel is a former Researcher (2009–2012) at the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB), specializing in migration, integration, and transnationalization. She previously served as a Research Fellow at TU Dortmund (2008–2009) and held roles in education coordination and civic project management in Berlin. She holds a Diploma in Sociology from the Free University of Berlin (2007), with minors in Political Science and English Philology.
Research Focus: Her work examines urban development, migration trajectories, interethnic relations, and civic engagement in diverse organizational contexts, such as schools and sports clubs. She co-led the project "Ethnic Diversity, Social Trust, and Civic Engagement" (2008–2011), funded by Germany’s Federal Ministry of Family Affairs, analyzing social dynamics in heterogeneous communities.
