Sigrun Halvorsen is a Professor in the Department of Cardiology at the University of Oslo, affiliated with Oslo University Hospital Ullevål. She serves as Head of the Department of Cardiology and holds leadership roles in the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), including Treasurer of the Acute CardioVascular Care Association (ACVC) and Associate Editor of the European Heart Journal. Her academic background includes a Medical Doctorate (1995) and Cand.med (1983) from the University of Oslo, alongside specialist training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
