Dan Atar is a Professor II at the Medical Clinic (MDK) of the University of Oslo, serving as Research Manager and Editor-in-Chief of Cardiology. Specializing in cardiology, he holds visiting appointments at Johns Hopkins University and has led major clinical trials (e.g., BETAMI, ARTESIA, FOURIER-OLE). His research focuses on myocardial infarction, troponin biomarkers, and cardiovascular pharmacotherapy.
