Sigrid Slettebakk Berge is a Professor of Pedagogy at the Department of Teacher Education, Faculty of Social and Educational Sciences, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Her work focuses on sign language interpretation, inclusive education, and communication studies for deaf and deaf-blind individuals.
Research Interests
Berge's research explores interpreter-mediated learning situations, multimodal communication, and the intersection of physical learning environments with pedagogical practices. She investigates professional roles in inclusive classrooms and analyzes communication dynamics in deafblind contexts.

Her publications span ethnographic studies on sign language interpretation, turn-taking mechanisms in interpreted dialogues, and educational provision for hearing-impaired students.
